Engulfed

She strides in grace, and stands in confidence.
Her beauty is tantamount to the Himalayas.

In daylight, she flaunts vibrancy and charm.
In twilight, she sleeps in stillness and prayer.

Her presence engulfs my heart and soul.
Her spirit engulfs the coldness in our world.

Orange

I asked, “What comes into your mind when you see color orange?”

“Uhm, an orange fruit”, says the white-collared man.
“A pumpkin”, says the farmer.
“Autumn season”, says the actress.
“Nemo!” Says the kid.

These are just some of the answers that I got. Some were predictable, a few were fancy.

One lazy afternoon, I decided to go the park. My feet took me to the bridge right above the koi pond. It was quite a school, full of action and colors. There I was, feeding while pondering, when I noticed an old man behind my back doing the same thing. I turned around, went beside him, and introduced myself.

After several exchanges, I asked him what comes into his mind when he sees the color orange. He plainly replied, “heighted excitement.”

Heightened excitement. What an unexpected answer. It blew me away.

There I was looking at the school of orange koi, absorbing the new philosophy that was shared to me.

When life gives you lemons, make oranges.

Lines

Lines

Lines are like clays, you can mold it to achieve the form that you want. Open or close. Crooked or straight. Thin or thick. You maybe analytical or just go with the flow. Whichever approach you take, the result will just be the same. You have transformed something. You have created a new essence.

Our brain transmits signals to our hands, and gives direction on what it will do. Our brain also transmits signals to our eyes, and explains to it the aesthetics that it saw. But, our brain will never decipher one thing. And, this is our intention. How and why we got inspired to do it.

Remember not just to focus on what you see. Try to feel what each line is expressing to us. They may be shouting for contentment, or for change.

So, what do you see in the picture? Are the lines parallel or not?

Retreat has been echoing in the battlefield, but many hearts has been shouting charge. I am one of those brave souls that won’t settle for defeat.

With courage as our supreme weapon, we ran and charged the other flagship. We made the offense. They made the defense. All of us fought until our final breath.

One soldier down. Two soldiers down. Three soldiers down. The count is endless, until someone shouted, “Captain!”. The crimson battlefield said it all. Fate has been written from then on.

Brothers! Victory is ours!

In pace requiescat!
